Ok, I've finally experienced Insomnia.
I've had it before, but never, for this long a duration. A week.

I have to say ... it feels, Different. And I always liked change, so yeah... Insomnia isn't all that bad ... But after a week of no sleep, improper digestion, and no proper meals. It isn't all that satisfying.

I still can't pinpoint the reason for this insomnia, but according to Wikipedia, it can be caused by stress, depression, or fear.

Wikipedia Says: Insomnia is characterized by an inability to sleep and/or inability to remain asleep for a reasonable period

And, Insomnia isn't just about not getting any sleep. It's when you're so tired, you can't even lift yourself off your bed, but your mind won't let you turn it off.
It's when you sleep for like an hour, but that hour seems like a minute, and you lay in bed wondering
"Did I sleep, or did my mind just go blank for what seems like a minute?"

Insomnia gives meaning to the term "Sleeping Awake"
You're mind is half on this side, and half on the other. You never find out what's going on.

And the worst thing is, you lose track of time. You find yourself struggling to see what happened, what day it was, what the time is. And what happened.

It sucks, because me, I want to witness EVERYTHING that goes on. Don't want to miss a thing, ever. But insomnia changes all that.

This week has been one hell of a ride. I've gone to sleep more times than I've blinked, and I've slept less hours than the times I've seen a man being run over by a stampede.

Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating. But it sure feels that way.

I knew my Bipolar Disorder and Manic Depression was going to lead to something big one day...

The protagonist in the nor' movie "Fight Club" starring Edward Norton (Jack) and Brad Pitt (Tyler Durden), where Jack is the protagonist, has the same type of insomnia. Here's what he thinks:

"Fight Club"

The character Edward Norton (a really good actor) plays in Fight Club, is of an Insomniac known as Jack throughout the movie.

Apparently (SPOILER WARNING) He get's this split personality disroder thingy due to the insomnia ... read on. This is what he thinks of insomnia:

With insomnia, nothing is real.
Everything is far away. Everything
is a copy of a copy of a copy.

*Scene Goes To Hospital*
[Intern] No, you can't die of insomnia.

[Jack] Maybe I died already. Look at my face.
[Intern] You need to lighten up.
[Jack] Can't you give me something?
[Intern] You need healthy, natural sleep. Chew valerian root and get some more exercise.

The Intern walks away from Jack.

[Jack] I'm in pain.
[Intern] You want to see pain? Swing by First Methodist Tuesday nights. See the guys with testicular cancer. That's pain.

So, edward goes to see the guys, and he feels emotionally touched, or watever, and suddenly, he can sleep again.
But then, suddenly things change (im not going into detail) and he loses sleep again.
He narrates :

When you have insomnia, you're never
really asleep and you're never really
awake. I hadn't slept in four days...

"You wake up in *names places* ... you gain an hour ... lose an hour ... this is your life, and it's ending, one minute at a time. If you wake up at a different time, at a different place ... can you wake up as a different person?"

That's when Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) comes into the movie. (SPOILER WARNING AGAIN) Apparently, the disorder causes Jack, to see a Tyler Durden, who is very much opposite of the real Jack. And in the end you get to find out. They're one and the same person.

Haven't seen Fight Club yet? Well, oops.

If not the same effect on, Insomnia has definitely changed me, somewhat. I finally go to school on time ... lol .. I don't sleep as much as I did (duh) ... and I've had another experience of life :)

So, it's not all that bad ...

But just be glad you get your sleep at nights. In some countries, when the army wants to torture a prisoner of war, they don't beat the shit out of them. They keep them awake, and don't let the sleep.

In under a week, the prisoner is spilling his beans like a broken bucket.

So when you go to bed, and are all ready to visit dreamland, be glad for yet another thing you're blessed with. A Good Night's Sleep.

Or maybe I've run out of things to hate. Run out of things, I can talk bad about.

Okay, It's been like, a week since my last post? And a loooot has been happenin, and I've got a lot to say bad things about, but I think I'll just share my wisdom instead :p

I've been pondering on some facts and watching Prison Break has made me realise. Prison is a lot like School ... yes, where bad people are sent to learn good stuff ... I'm talking about prison there, not school.

Yes, so here are
Simalarities Between Prison And School

• You get a break, and the break actually has a longer duration in Prison.
• Don't get caught with an electronic device.
• Don't piss off the warden/principal. (not that it stops anyone, duh)
• You borrow lunch in school... In prison, it's just not called borrowing.
• Bullies.
• Uniform.
• Cafetaria.
• Paperwork involved, getting in at both places ...

I've started a lot of posts, but somehow, there's always a writers block at the beginning of the post.

Because you never know how to start them. It's like a writer's block with a door.

And then, there's the question of what you're going to write about.

Boring news that no one reads? Boring rants about life that no one reads? Or, what happened the whole Boring day, that no one reads?

Option No. 2 Please.

Why would anyone want to write their thoughts, on the day that just passed? What's the use of recalling each and every moment that passed ... why would anyone want to recall a tragedy anyway? Okay, so people have fun sometime in the day too ... but most of the time, isn't it all the same old?

And what's the use? I've read in a research by some scientists somewhere ... writing down your every thought in a portable journal makes you smarter. In a year you'll have a greater level of IQ and bla bla ... but what's the use?

If you're smart enough to write a journal, you won't need the extra IQ. Okay, so having everything in a big amount seems tempting to a lot of people. But, seriously. Would you write a journal for a whole year, just so you you're smarter then your friends? Or so you can get good grades? Because IQ has nothing to do with good grades. And what's the use of being smarter than your friends? You're not going to steal their cattle from them when you get the chance, anyway.

Nothing in life comes easy, people say. That's another thing I just remember I would like to comment on.

Why? When all humans are created Equal. Yes, almost every popular religion says that. EVERYONE is created EQUAL.

BUT ... No One is Perfect.

Why aren't we? Why isn't anyone perfect? Why isn't EVERYONE perfect? Why doesn't everyone have Everything? Why do some people have, what they take for granted, and people that really need something, Don't have it.

Why can't everyone, have Everything?
Is it, because if everyone had everything, everything would be taken for granted by everyone?

Or is it, so, we just learn to struggle, one way or the other? Because as I said earlier. Life is actually a really big shop.

But why is it a really big shop? What's the purpose of living? What's the purpose of life? What is the need to go through all this?

Wouldn't it be a lot easier, if everyone could just get what they wanted ... we probably wouldn't have any wars or nuclear weapons that way ...

Because it's human nature to just want, what we don't have ... or will probably never get ... But we still like to try ... some give up fast ... while others are willing to die trying.

Why can't life be easy? What is the purpose of life?

We may never find out. But rest assured, as soon as I do, I'll be glad to tell you.

I don't get it. If life's a big joke ... I just don't get it ...

If I'm not having mood swings, I'm lost. That's how I define my life. OR that's just how I'm living it.

One second I'm happy ... the other, I'm looking for a way out ...

People like to call it Manic Depression ... this is just one of the stages ... I've read many creative people like to have this disease ... I'm not bragging, even when I have all rights to ... but I sure could do without, as I'm sure Sidney Sheldon could've too ...

But one thing's for sure ... writing takes it all out ... No matter who's going to read it or not, either listening to Heavy Metal or writing in a blog ... it's like drinking a red bull ... you get wings ... oh, and your mood swings in the happy corner ...

There's no sense of anxiety, like the kind you get when you have something exciting to do. Insomnia, Anxiety ... you all get it from thinking of one big thing that's going to happen. I'm not going to name that thing, but why the f does it happen, just when you could DO WITHOUT IT. Pick a later time or something! I'm thinking of something big to do here, and here it is. Anxiety, Insomnia, Depression ... aah, eff it. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be. When there's nothing hard in the way, you get all this. Just so you have to actually TRY TO GET SOMETHING even when it's just in front of you.

That's life I guess. Nothing comes without struggle.

And for people that get it without any hard work? They're just not happy. That's what people mean when they say 'money can't buy happiness' ... if you're working your ass off for that money, then there isn't anything sweeter then THAT happiness. Yes, Money CAN get you happiness. Just be willing to lose something in the process.

No pain no gain. To get something, you have to lose something. Come to think of it, EVERYTHING is like that. Everything, revolves around that simple rule. If you're not giving anything, then there's money. Just to make you lose something. SOMETHING HAS TO BE GIVEN and/or LOST, IN ORDER TO GET SOMETHING ... ANYTHING.

Time ... money ... hard work ... happiness ... it's all things life likes to take from you in order to give you some of the other.

You need happiness? You need to give Hard Work. It's like a shop. Yes, that's it. I finally know what life is.

LIFE is a freaking SHOP.

Back Home

It's been like a week, that I've been back from Pakistan. And although, I decided this time around that I won't get too attached to the place. But it's hard for me to keep my promise.

This is creepy, but I'm starting to like the place ... believe it or not ...

Maybe it's the constant state of nirvana, due to the absence of schedule. Or maybe I just love goofing off, who knows. But whatever it was, It worked.

I've changed. And that's not a bad thing.

Am I thinking of going back? Yes.

And that too, a.s.a.p. Maybe it's the freedom. Maybe it's the difference between these two worlds. But whatever it was ... It worked.

And now I can't think of anything. All the sugar I've consumed in the last week hasn't helped either ... I've blown it off by either jumping rope, or constantly button mashing the ps2.

Like that kickass Green Day song Holiday, everything good comes to an end soon. I just realized it late.

Everything is almost back to normal. The only thing that's stuck is me. And it doesn't seem to change how the rest of the world spins.

And why should it? Everyone has their own problems to think of. Who cares if that's the way it's supposed to be or not. It just is.

I came back to blogger, because I had a lot on my mind. And I'm glad I did. No one listens better than a journal. You can keep on talking ... a journal doesn't have it's own point of views ... only ones you give it in the first place ... your own ...

Aah, the feeling of being published ... just like the feeling of ownership and satisfaction that comes from owning books ... did I say that in another post before?

It's great ... I don't know how my 5 years would've gone without this blog.

I’ve always asked myself who sent the first e-mail, ever and whether if he was aware of the fact that he would be starting an evolutionist era for the future generations. For those of you who had asked themselves this question at least once until now, and for those of you who are just curious in finding out the answer, I have searched around and found a few hints.

I like to think that the sending of the first e-mail message was of the same impact of the first phone call ever made, or the one of the first telegram ever sent. Huge.

It might be disappointing, but the first e-mail message wasn’t much of an informational one. But I’ll start with the beginning. Before the Internet, there was a computer network called ARPANET, developed by the U.S. Defense Department with the help of a company called Bolt, Beranek and Newman.

To skip to the point, the first message was sent by Ray Tomlinson, a computer engineer at the above mentioned company, in 1971. He was located in Cambridge, Massachusetts and he sent an e-mail message from his computer to another computer right next to him. It was a test message, it appears. Something like “QWERTYUIOP”. He was actually playing around with two programs called SNDMSG and READMAIL that allowed users to leave messages to each other on the same machine. He merged the two files with a third program called CYPNET (a file sharing program, between computers). The combined technology allowed people to send and receive files that could be appended between different machines.

Despite his success with the e-mail, Ray Tomlinson is better known to the general population as the guy who introduced the “@” locator in e-mail addresses. Like I said in the beginning, I wonder if he realized the impact he will cause. What do you think?

almost 5 months of never ending, fun life. Fun life you ask? Unscheduled, happy go lucky, go to sleep here, wake up there at the beginning of the day on another timezone ... the fun life.

But as the famous saying goes "All Good Things Must Come To An End"

... and so it ends ...

How I'll miss it all from the beginning.

1. xt and ila crashing in riyadh. meeting Dan the tey and really hanging out for the first time.
2. sarmad, don, dk and razee done wid their exams ... finally, the party-ing beginds and old times ... done all over again ...
3. The no time to sleep, all day awake routine. Sleep where your head finds rest mode. Crash at friends place, get kicked out, walk all the way to your home, find taxi, fill with 3 friends and self, go to home, friends sleep on floor, you sleep on your bed, and wake up at night day.

aah, im gonna miss it all.
The daily shawarmas ... *groan* and each day ... billiards, counter strike ... TOPIs' and LPC Babbys' ... daamn it was fun ...

Now that the ppl that've joined unis' head to the airport back to their uni lives, and all the rest get back to the routine, its time for the well enjoyed 4 1/2 month vacation to finally end.

3 months of holiday after exam ended
Eye operation, and recovery for like 2 weeks ;)
Ramadan and finally ... Eid ... aahhhh, but now it all comes to an end ... and how :

Math exam in january. Pak trip scheduled in december :S
School started, only 2 classes, but workload on the head from the beginning ... anyone, help me find the DO HOLIDAY ALL OVER AGAIN button? If there is one ...

But we all know it ... that before we all know it ... it'll be 'fun life' time again ... so let's take a break from the break ... because we all also know ...

Truly Inspiring and Amazing.
Today, Frank Abagnale Jr makes more than a million every year, which he gets from major companies because he has safeguarded their systems. And made banking more foolproof.

All right! Back to my holidays! :D
The day I had my last exam, I was out of the house for 17 hours!! Doing what? Having sheesha with my mates and just doing what we love to do : circle the city and wonder what to do next ...

But it's great so far ... my mates, dragster sam, razee and zohaib don't get off from examz till the end of july ... so till then its only me and me palz lalaz and shado ...

Blogging was always a lot of fun.

Me, I like the fact that My Words are being ... somehow, "Published" for the world to read. Even though that's still a distant dream, the world doesn't come to read my blog ... yet ... But it still is available to the world!

Yes, and that feeling I Love.

It's like owning a radio station. A rebel one-man radio station.

You come on at 3:00 in the morning and people who have tuned in get something to listen to.

They get to listen to you blabber and they wonder "Who the Hell IS This Guy?!"

A one-man radio station and a blog isn't much different. They're quite the same...

1. The reader/listener can go away if he doesn't like what he reads/listens to
2. The guy behind the keyboard/behind the mic doesn't necessarily have anything important to say

I always wanted to own a radio station. So I could come on at 3:00 in the morning and wonder if anyone's listening to me ... but not really care, because I'm there anyway ...

But since I've only lived half my life (I hope there's a lot more left) I've come to know that at this point I can only own a blog. And also realised that grown man can't afford to own a radio station and so they end up owning a blog instead too.

So it's not that bad ...

It's cool, infact.

Your thoughts published just by the click of a button. Yes, A BUTTON. Literally ... once you navigate all the way to NEW POST and write down your thoughts you just have to press the PUBLISH button, so that IS just ONE button.

It's amazing ... it's a writer's paradise. You can start here and maybe at a point in your life end up writing for a newspaper. No one might still read your collumn but at least you've gotten somewhere ...

It's an AMAZING place ... you can start your career as a model, a photographer ... a designer or even a writer ...

Get an account at Deviantart.com or Wincustomize.com and upload your pictures as a model ... get rated (couldn't think of any other term) by the people that see your pictures (and God knows that else they do, but let's not talk about that) Or you can put up your photoshop works ... get rated again (okay, you tell me what other word I could've used) , but this time you can be sure that only decent people will look at your art (or even if they aren't, nothing undecent is going to happen ... but let's not talk about that either)

You can own a blog ... start writing and maybe continue your whole life ... or you can start skinning other people's creations ... so you get the feeling of being liked by anonymous people that download your skins ... then eventually you can get hired by some big a** company and skin their program ... create big $$

It's an amazing place ...

But an even amazing thing is, you get to meet people that you'll probably NEVER meet ...

Yes, go figure ...

While I think of what to do with my life ...

Parent's blame gruesome video game for son's murder
The parents of Stefan Pakeerah, 14, who was murdered in Leicester, Britain, have made calls for the popular recent video game Manhunt to be banned.

Giselle Pakeerah said her son's killer, Warren Leblanc, 17, was copying actions he had seen in Manhunt, which rewards gamers with higher points for pulling off more gruesome deaths.

Stefan died after Leblanc first beat him with a claw hammer, then stabbed him a number of times with a knife. Industry bodies have rejected claims that the game is responsible, as it comes with an 18 certificate and is not meant for a younger audience.

* The Sasser Worm Creator was caught! The 18-year-old German high school student arrested yesterday in Rotenburg, northern Germany, has admitted that he was the creator of the Sasser worm. The identity of the teenager, who has now been released, was not revealed. A number of computers and disks were taken from his home by investigators, who believe he was working alone. Its also said that he was the creator of the Netsky Mail bomber virus.

* Pink Panther Prequel Signs Beyonce
Beyonce Knowles has signed a contract to star alongside Steve Martin in the new Pink Panther movie, due to start filming next week. Production will start in Manhattan before moving to a set in Paris, France.
Martin will play Inspector Clousea and Beyonce will play the lady of his desires, a pop singer named Xania. Beyonce said at a news conference that she didn't really know the old movies, but knew Pink Panther from the cartoon version.
Steve Martin is also co-writing the script for the film, which is a prequel to the original Pink Panther movie, the timeline is set immediately before the original 1963 movie which starred Peter Sellers. It is due for a summer 2005 release.

Suspected Sasser Worm Creator Arrested
An 18-year-old, male computer programmer has been arrested in Germany on the suspicion of being the person behind the Sasser worm that infected millions of computers around the world last week.
The man from Lower Saxony was arrested in Rotenburg, northern Germany, police said. No further details were given.
The worm first struck on May 1st, causing some companies to close down to debug their systems and update anti-virus protection.
It appears as if Sasser causes no lasting damage to computer systems.

Rapper 50 Cent and his entourage were pulling into a New Jersey parking lot. Suddenly, gunfire erupted and they ran into the hotel's lobby. 50 Cent is said to have dodged 10 bullets in his run for safety. It is not known if his crew returned fire.

Warner Bros. have finally ended the process of casting for the new Batman film, which will start production in February. Christian Bale, from American Psycho and Little Women, is to play a young Bruce Wayne.
The film is an attempt to revive the Batman franchise, which took a solid fall after "Batman and Robin" was released in 1997. The film will depict Bruce Wayne as he begins fighting crime as a career.
The new film will be directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan, who directed "Memento" and "Insomnia". Nolan said of Bale: "He has exactly the balance of darkness and light that we were looking for."

There is speculation that Apple Computer named its online music store ITunes to avoid this type of lawsuit. Some say that Apple Computer may end up settling for royalties rather than undergo expensive litigation.

Just saw Halloween 8: Resurrection. This is such a cool movie! Halloween has totally 8 parts which are:
1. Halloween
2. Halloween 2
3. Halloween 3
4. Halloween 4
5. Halloween 5
6. Halloween 6 : Curse Of Michael Myers
7. H2O : Halloween 20years later.
All of them, in which Laurie Strode (Michael Myer's smallest sister) is alive
But in the last part:
8. Halloween Resurrection
Michael comes back and kills his sister, like Finally!
The story to Halloween Ressurection is that, Freddy (Bust-a-rhyme!!!) Is a tv dude guy. He makes tv stuff, like shows and all.
He makes up an internet network like thingy called 'Dangertainment'
He gets 6 teenage people together, and puts them in Michael Myer's House…cool
They must stay there for some time … and , just do dumb stuff.
The cameras are fitted on walls, and it all looks a bit like Blair Witch.
Evil Finds A Way Home after Killing His Last, and Only Sister.
The show is broadcasted LIVE on the internet, and a friend of the girl in the show is watching too. Great.
Michael Myers kills people, and BustaRhymes comes to the rescue. Wow. Busta Rhymes finally burns da crap baggyass overall wearin killa' .
But just when u thought he's dead…are you sure???
This movie is really cool and a must see if ur a fan of The Halloween Movies (www.halloweenmovies.com)
All I have seen is Part 6, 7, and 8…neat movies.
